Changes to our Soccer School

The following as been sent out to our current Soccer School attendees:

From 8th January 2022, our Soccer School will be shortening the session duration to one hour. Registrations will take place from 9.45am with the session starting promptly at 10:00am and finishing at 11:00am.

This change is taking place for several reasons following feedback from parents and from club coaches.

We're finding that the hour and a half current session is too long for some children. It's important that the children's interest is maintained and that they aren't pushed beyond their levels of concentration and physical and mental ability.

When tired there is the tendency for children to lose interest, be less patient with their team mates and ultimately there is more risk to their safety. As coaches our focus is to keep our players safe and make their footballing experience with the club enjoyable.

A well organised and well structured shorter high intensity practice session can also be more effective than a longer lower intensity session and will certainly enable our coaches to deliver fun and engaging practices.

At £2.50 per session we're confident that the hour long session is still very good value for money. The cost of hiring the astroturf is high and we don't want to increase our costs to you as we are very focussed on making football accessible for all children within our community.
